Il nostro saya in pelle (fodero per coltello) è adatto per coltelli multiuso, come i coltelli bunka / santoku / gyuto con dimensioni fino a 195 mm (7,7") di lunghezza della lama e 45 mm (1,8") di larghezza della lama.

Saya in pelle marrone fatta a mano protegge il coltello e chi lo usa da danni e lesioni. Inoltre mantiene il coltello affilato e lo rende più facile da trasportare. Lo chiudiamo con una striscia di cuoio che fissiamo al pomello per evitare che la lama scivoli fuori dal saya.

Nice saya but it doesn’t fit my bunka

Not actually my problem: it won’t physically fit my ZDP-189 Bunka. No, i can’t stretch it. The way it fits will jave me slicing through its threads. Wouldn’t it be cool if i had a knife it actually fit. Unless you have any ideas, here it sits—not worth the postage and time to deal with. Suggestions(?)

You are correct—the leather saya (195 mm) does not fit the Yoshida ZDP-189 Bunka. For this knife, we recommend either the wooden saya (designed for the right side of the knife) or the medium plastic sleeve. The blade is simply too wide to fit properly into the leather saya.

When purchasing a saya for a knife you already own, we suggest checking the knife’s product page. All available saya options are listed there.

Not very supple

Sheath feels fairly stiff and dry. Fit is too snug, too.

All our sayas are universal for our Bunka knives. They may be a little snug at the beginning, but as with all leather, this one will stretch a bit and fit better over time. I recommend treating the leather with leather wax for better protection against dirt and to preserve the natural shape of the saya.

I bought it for a 18cm Santoku Knife and this is perfect. The quality is great and it looks very classy.
