Shipping information
>> Shipping rates
- 10€ - flat worldwide rate with DHL Express (express delivery, 1-5 business days).
- FREE - all orders over 300€ (DHL Express).
Exceptions:
- 🇬🇧 United Kingdom - shipping to UK costs 15€. All orders are shipped with DHL Express (2-3 business days). Shipping to UK costs more in order to comply with the Offensive Weapons Act 2019, which states that any order containing a blade needs to be signed by an adult (over 18 years old) at delivery. No order containing a blade can be delivered to a PO box, left unattended or in a safe place. Free shipping on orders over 300€.
- 🇷🇺 Russia - DHL can only deliver to business addresses (currently not available). We can ship to private, residential addresses via EMS postal service where the shipping cost is €40 (or more, depending on the weight). We do not offer free shipping to Russia.
- 🇮🇱 Israel - due to the current conflict with Palestine, DHL charges an additional fee for "risk territories", therefore we have to charge 40€ for all orders shipped to Israel. Free shipping does not apply, but we offer a reduced shipping rate of 20€ for all orders over 300€.
- 🇱🇧 Lebanon - DHL charges an additional fee for shipments to Lebanon, therefore we have to charge 40€ for shipping. Free shipping does not apply, but we offer a reduced shipping rate of 20€ for all orders over 300€.
All orders will be processed in EUR during checkout.
Duties and import taxes We cover ALL duties and import taxes, including your local VAT, regardless of your location. We want to make your shopping experience as smooth as possible, so we take care of any taxes and duties for you. All our prices are final. The price you see at checkout is the final price, no hidden costs. We ship all orders DDP (duties & taxes paid). This means you will not be charged for any import fees and taxes (including VAT). NOTE: Due to local legislation, exceptions apply for shipments to Turkey (for orders over 30€) and Kyrgyzstan. We will contact you once you place the order and offer an alternative solution. |
>> Delivery time
Our office and warehouse are based in Europe, so we ship all orders from Europe with DHL Express. We normally dispatch orders within 1 business day.
- Europe: 1-2 business days
- US & Canada: 2-4 business days
- Rest of World: 3-5 business days
>> Uniqueness of Products
Japanese kitchen knives in our store, together with our own SharpEdge wooden products, are handmade from natural materials. Slight variations in color, texture, weight, and other dimensions are possible. We try to give a good photographic representation of our products, however, computer screen resolution and colors do vary, so products might not look exactly as they are seen on screen.
Return policy
Our return policy lasts 30 days. If more than 30 days have gone by since the day you received your order, we unfortunately cannot offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it in. It must also be in the original packaging. Please email us at support@sharpedgeshop.com in case you would like to return/replace purchased products.
We carefully inspect every item before shipping it to you, but it is out of our hands if something happens during transport. In case of defective products, we will refund you the full amount, including shipping costs.
>> Cancellations
Before we process your order (we usually do that within 1 business day), you can cancel your order and we will refund you the full amount, including shipping costs. To cancel your order, contact us immediately at fulfillment@sharpedgeshop.com.
Once your order is processed (i.e. handed over for shipping), you can still cancel your order, however, you will first need to receive your ordered items and then send them back to us to receive a refund (minus the shipping costs). Click here for our returns shipping address.
>> Refunds
Once your returned item is received and inspected, we will email you to notify you that we have received it. We will also notify you regarding the approval or rejection of your refund.
If your refund is approved, it will be processed and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within a certain amount of days.
>> Exchanges
We carefully examine every product before it is shipped, but we can't guarantee that products will not get damaged during transportation. If you need to exchange the received item for the same item, contact us and we will provide you with detailed instructions.
>> Shipping of returns
The easiest way to return your items is to contact us and we will organize a DHL courier to pick them up at your desired location and time. We have discounted shipping rates, so in most cases, this way will be the cheapest. We will inform you of the exact shipping cost before we send the courier.
Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the received items were damaged during transport. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Of course, you can ship your items to our office with your preferred service. If so, we strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance, as we can’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item(s).
