Refund policy
Return Policy
Our return policy lasts 30 days (60 days in November and December). If more than 30 days have gone by since the day you received your order, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
Holiday Gift Returns
Orders placed in November and December enjoy a 60-day return policy in case the gift recipient may wish to make a return.
Submit Return Request
You can request a return within 30 days of receiving your order, no reason required. Products must be returned in their original packaging to qualify for a full refund. Normal handling and inspection doesn't affect your refund — if an item shows signs of actual use, we'll deduct its diminished value from your refund, assessed individually for each return.

- Log in with the email you used for placing the order.
- Select the order you wish to return.
- Click on "Request return" and select the items you wish to return.
- Submit a return.
Return Costs
We charge a return shipping fee of €10,00 which will be deducted from your refund.
If the item(s) arrived damaged, not as advertised, if the product has a manufacturing issue, or if you received a wrong item, you will not be charged for the return shipping cost. Please don't use the item if it arrived damaged. First, submit a Return Request, then send us photos or a video of the damaged item (without them, we won't be able to accept your return). Once we confirm the damage, we will send you a replacement or refund the full amount, including the original shipping cost.
☝️ Please note: Japanese kitchen knives are handmade from natural materials. Slight variations in color, texture, weight, and other dimensions are possible. We try to give a good photographic representation of our products, however, computer screen resolution and colors do vary, so products might not look exactly as they are seen on screen.
Return Shipping
Once your return request is approved, you will receive instructions on how to ship the returned items and create a prepaid return shipping label.
Shipping cost are non-refundable unless the received items were damaged during shipping, the product has a manufacturing issue, or if you received a wrong item.
If you wish to return items with your preferred shipping service, contact us after you have initiated a return.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we'll email you with the outcome, including any diminished-value deduction if applicable. Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 3–5 business days.
Non-returnable Items
Engraved knives are not eligible for returns, except in the following cases:
- The knife was damaged during shipping.
- You received the wrong product.
Knives built using our Knife Configurator follow our standard return policy like any other product — only laser-engraved items are excluded.
Gift Wrapping is a non-refundable service. Once selected and completed, the cost of gift wrapping cannot be refunded, even in the event of a return or cancellation.
Exchanges
You can exchange a returned item for something else, but we need to receive the original item first. After you've submitted a return request, contact us and let us know what you'd like instead. If there's a price difference, we'll send you a payment link to cover it — if a refund is due instead, we'll issue it following our standard refund process.
Order Cancellations
You can cancel your order yourself in your account as long as we haven't shipped it out yet (normally the next business day). Log in, select the order and click "Cancel order" – please do it as soon as possible.
We will refund you for the full amount, including shipping costs. If we already shipped your order, submit a Return Request once you receive the items.
! Please note: orders with an engraved knife or a knife assembled to order (e.g. a custom handle from our Configurator) can't be cancelled once the knife has been engraved or assembled.
