Por que usar uma mandolina quando temos facas? Bem, a resposta é... consistência! O Sengiri Super Mandoline corta frutas e vegetais em pedaços de tamanhos consistentes que cozinham uniformemente e ficam ótimos.

and a nice width if you have the space in the kitchen.

but for slicing - there is a big gap in front of the main blade that makes very thin slices hard to get consistent. a pity!

thanks for taking the time and writing a review for the mandolin.
As the name indicates the Sengiri mandolin JUMBO is meant for bigger pieces of vegetables and bigger prep. I assume that the problem occurred when slicing smaller vegetables? For smaller and more delicate tasks/vegetables a smaller mandolin is a more suitable choice. It has a smaller gap, more than 3 mm narrower compared to the JUMBO model.

Razor sharp and eat to use for Julienne and thin slicing. Wide size perfect for all fruit and veg.
