A nossa saya em couro (bainha para faca) é adequada para facas multiusos, como as facas bunka/santoku/gyuto com dimensões até 195mm (7,7") de comprimento da lâmina e 45mm (1,8") de largura da lâmina.
A saya em couro castanho feita à mão protege a faca e o utilizador contra danos e ferimentos. Também mantém a faca afiada e facilita o seu transporte. Fechamo-la com uma tira de couro que prendemos ao botão para evitar que a lâmina deslize para fora da saya.

Devido às diferenças na geometria das facas, uma saya pode não servir para todas as facas, mesmo que o comprimento e o tipo da lâmina pareçam corresponder. Na página de cada faca, é mostrada a saya compatível – esta é a que se ajusta a essa faca específica.
Se a faca não foi comprada na nossa loja, por favor verifique as dimensões cuidadosamente, pois não podemos garantir um ajuste perfeito.

Ich habe mir die Hülle direkt zum Santoku dazu bestellt. Sie passt gut und macht einen wertigen Eindruck. Ein guter Schutz für das Messer.

Not actually my problem: it won’t physically fit my ZDP-189 Bunka. No, i can’t stretch it. The way it fits will jave me slicing through its threads. Wouldn’t it be cool if i had a knife it actually fit. Unless you have any ideas, here it sits—not worth the postage and time to deal with. Suggestions(?)

You are correct—the leather saya (195 mm) does not fit the Yoshida ZDP-189 Bunka. For this knife, we recommend either the wooden saya (designed for the right side of the knife) or the medium plastic sleeve. The blade is simply too wide to fit properly into the leather saya.
When purchasing a saya for a knife you already own, we suggest checking the knife’s product page. All available saya options are listed there.

Sheath feels fairly stiff and dry. Fit is too snug, too.

All our sayas are universal for our Bunka knives. They may be a little snug at the beginning, but as with all leather, this one will stretch a bit and fit better over time. I recommend treating the leather with leather wax for better protection against dirt and to preserve the natural shape of the saya.
