Nuestra saya de cuero (funda para cuchillo) es adecuada para cuchillos multiusos, como los cuchillos bunka/santoku/gyuto con dimensiones de hasta 195 mm (7.7") de longitud de hoja y 45 mm (1.8") de ancho de hoja.
La saya de cuero marrón hecha a mano protege el cuchillo y a su usuario de daños y lesiones. También mantiene el cuchillo afilado y facilita su transporte. La cerramos con una tira de cuero que sujetamos al pomo para evitar que la hoja se deslice fuera de la saya.
Por favor, tenga en cuenta:
Debido a las diferencias en la geometría de los cuchillos, una saya puede no ajustarse a todos los cuchillos, incluso si la longitud y el tipo de hoja parecen coincidir. En la página de producto de cada cuchillo se muestra la saya compatible; esta es la que se ajusta a ese cuchillo específico.
Si el cuchillo no fue comprado en nuestra tienda, por favor revise las dimensiones cuidadosamente, ya que no se puede garantizar un ajuste perfecto.

Not actually my problem: it won’t physically fit my ZDP-189 Bunka. No, i can’t stretch it. The way it fits will jave me slicing through its threads. Wouldn’t it be cool if i had a knife it actually fit. Unless you have any ideas, here it sits—not worth the postage and time to deal with. Suggestions(?)

You are correct—the leather saya (195 mm) does not fit the Yoshida ZDP-189 Bunka. For this knife, we recommend either the wooden saya (designed for the right side of the knife) or the medium plastic sleeve. The blade is simply too wide to fit properly into the leather saya.
When purchasing a saya for a knife you already own, we suggest checking the knife’s product page. All available saya options are listed there.

Sheath feels fairly stiff and dry. Fit is too snug, too.

All our sayas are universal for our Bunka knives. They may be a little snug at the beginning, but as with all leather, this one will stretch a bit and fit better over time. I recommend treating the leather with leather wax for better protection against dirt and to preserve the natural shape of the saya.
