Lifesaver repair

Excellent repair service to a chip on my nearly new hap 40 gyuto. All down to my own mistake but thankfully the sharp edge team were super helpful on all aspects of the repair and shipping. I don't know how you guys manage to ship to the UK so cost effectively. Thanks again.

Knife repair and sharpening

First, I would like to praise Ernest, who I communicated with regarding the shipment. In the end, he seemed more concerned about when and how I would send the knife than I was, and I’m very grateful for his help. He was very pleasant and polite, and I have only praise for him.

As for the knife repair, I have no complaints. It was done nicely and exactly as it should be. The only thing I hoped for a bit more from was the sharpening. I expected the sharpness to be closer to the original.

Thank you very much for your rating of our service. I also apologize for the poor sharpening. Due to the rather extensive damage to your knife, we decided not to thin it in order to prevent similar damage from occurring again. Unfortunately, this has caused the knife to lose that nice cut you mentioned.
If we had thinned it, it would have cut just as well as before the damage. In such situations, we should have contacted you and left the decision up to you. We sincerely apologize for this omission. If you send us a knife for sharpening in the future, we will also thin the blade.
