Whether you're deep in the woods or just lighting the backyard firepit, the Kanenori Full Tang Hatchet is your compact powerhouse for all things outdoors.
Hand-forged in Japan using SK carbon steel, this knife-style hatchet is made for serious tasks like batoning, splitting kindling, and feather stick carving. The 5mm thick full tang blade provides excellent durability and cutting control, while the walnut handle offers comfort, grip, and style that ages beautifully over time.
Take it hiking, pack it for bushcraft trips, or keep it on hand for weekend wood prep — this versatile Japanese outdoor knife is built for those who demand performance, portability, and heritage-quality craftsmanship.
BLADE SHAPE:
Designed for control and precision, this carbon steel hatchet features a straight edge with a downward-sloping tip — perfect for batoning, carving, and close-up camp tasks. Unlike curved blades, this shape gives you full edge contact and better leverage, making it easier to shape wood, slice rope, or handle detailed work with confidence.
The full tang design ensures strength throughout the handle, giving you a solid grip and confidence during harder swings and close-up carving.
STEEL:
Made from SK carbon steel, this bushcraft hatchet combines excellent sharpness retention with toughness — perfect for repeated impact and edge-heavy tasks.
BLADE FINSIH:
Its kuro-uchi finish not only adds a rustic charm, but also enhances the blade's resilience to corrosion and wear.
HANDLE:
Made from premium walnut known for its beautiful grain, durability, and aging character. The handle is attached with a coin-screw fastener, so it can be tightened with a coin if ever loosened in the field.
SAYA:
Comes with a fitted leather sheath made from navy cowhide, designed for safe carry on your waist — so your hatchet is always within reach.
