Tanaka Deba Silver in 180mm blade length is a heavy traditional Japanese knife for rougher tasks, made by the one and only Shigeki Tanaka. Tanaka is part of the younger generation of blacksmiths, known for his precise work and use of quality steels with his knives.

This deba is chisel ground (single bevel) and is suitable only for right-handed users. The blade is forged in Ginsan steel, also known as Hitachi's Silver 3 steel, hardened to around 61 HRC. Due to its high content of Chromium (Cr), Ginsan steel will resist corrosion very well. Tanaka Deba Silver was fitted a large, round, traditional Japanese wooden handle, made of magnolia wood.
