✔︎ No import fees & duties - worldwide |
In Japanese kitchens, cooking chopsticks are an essential tool—used not just for stirring or flipping, but also for grilling, deep-frying, plating, and handling delicate ingredients with precision. Longer than eating chopsticks, they offer better reach, safety, and control, especially when working over open flames or hot oil.
The Kuwakoeda Itomaki cooking chopsticks, crafted by the Japanese brand Kawai, reflect a perfect balance of form and function. Made from carefully selected wood and finished with layers of natural Japanese lacquer using the centuries-old Togidashi technique, they are designed to last and age beautifully with use.
The Itomaki thread-wrapped handle provides a secure, comfortable grip and adds a refined, traditional aesthetic—making these chopsticks as beautiful as they are practical.
Made in Japan by Kawai, a lacquered chopstick specialist founded in 1943 in Obama City. All Kawai chopsticks are crafted using the traditional Togidashi method—a 400-year-old Japanese lacquer technique known for its refined patterns and exceptional quality. Each pair undergoes multiple rounds of lacquering, a process that can take up to six months. While deeply rooted in tradition, Kawai combines time-honored craftsmanship with modern materials and design to create chopsticks that are both elegant and practical for everyday use.
