This extra-long bread knife was forged from very hard steel that ensures its long service life. The blade is so thin and light that the ease of slicing with it will blow you away. The blade is made from the purest Swiss steel produced by Bohler-Uddeholm, world’s leading manufacturer of tool steel. This steel is then treated and tempered to 61-62 HRC in Japan.
The blade is 1.7mm thick, which is incredibly thin and thus makes this knife exceptionally light despite its length. The users always marvel at how long the blade retains its sharpness and how clean the edges of sliced foods are.
The knife is intended for cutting bread and other baked goods, but will perform excellently also when cutting other food that requires long and precise cuts. The knife saws through soft bread without much pressure and glides effortlessly also through hard crusts. It is also suitable for slicing a roast or any large piece of meat, as well as cakes, sushi rolls, tomatoes etc.
