Presenting a nostalgic yet modern vibe, these chopsticks feature bevel-cut ends with retro-inspired design. The simple overall design ensures that all attention is drawn to the tensoge — the diagonally cut end of the chopsticks. It highlights the wood’s natural grain and adds a sense of visual movement and direction to each piece. Whether resting on a chopstick stand or placed beside a bowl, this detail brings quiet sophistication to every meal.
The pointed tips are typical of Japanese-style chopsticks, perfect for picking up smaller or more delicate bites. Combined with the anti-slip finish, these chopsticks handle even slippery foods like noodles with ease.
Crafted in Japan by Kawai—a lacquered chopstick specialist founded in 1943 in Obama City, the heart of Japan’s chopstick-making tradition. All Kawai chopsticks are made using the traditional Togidashi method—a 400-year-old Japanese lacquer technique known for its refined patterns and exceptional quality. Each pair undergoes multiple rounds of lacquering, a process that can take up to six months. Rooted in tradition yet designed for today, Kawai chopsticks combine timeless craftsmanship with everyday practicality.

Product Care:
- Not dishwasher safe
- Hand wash with soft sponge
- Avoid abrasive scrubbers that may damage the finish

- Do not soak in water
- Keep out of direct sunlight to preserve color
Note: When taking sushi from a shared platter, it is considered proper etiquette not to use the end of the chopsticks that goes into your mouth. Instead, use the thicker reverse end of the chopsticks to transfer a piece of sushi to your own plate before eating. That is why some of our photos show the thicker end of the chopsticks being used.
