SharpEdge Plastic Knife Sleeve is a slimmer and more lightweight alternative to our wooden knife sheath (Saya), and it's used for protecting knives and their users from damage and injury. Its simple and universal design makes it suitable for most blade shapes and sizes.

It features a soft inner padding that prevents scratching and wear of the blade and a hard outer plastic shell to keep it safe from impacts.

This sleeve is suitable for blades measuring from 160mm (6.3") and up to 210mm (8.3") in length.

Dimensions (L x W x H):
220 mm x 55 mm x 3 mm

A slim, lightweight knife sleeve for blades from 160 to 210 mm (6.3"–8.3"). Soft inner padding prevents scratches, while the hard plastic shell protects against impacts.

Please note:
Due to differences in knife geometry, a saya may not fit all knives, even if the blade length and type appear to match. On each knife’s product page, the compatible saya is shown - this is the one that fits that specific knife.

If the knife was not bought from our shop, please check the dimensions carefully, as a perfect fit cannot be guaranteed.

Effective sleeve

Good quality, and the knife won’t slip out of this sleeve.
I wasn’t sure whether it would fit my knife, so I contacted customer service and they helped me choose the right sheath for it.

Perfect fit and great value

I added this matching sheath for just six euros during checkout, and it’s a fantastic purchase. The quality feels surprisingly solid, and it fits the knife perfectly. An absolute no-brainer to keep a premium blade protected on a budget!

Does not fit the purchased knife

Does not fit the purchased knife

Hello Mr. Jure,

Miha from SharpEdge here. Thank you very much for rating our product.

The Medium size plastic guard is a universal guard and fits all knives with a blade length of up to 210 mm, i.e. the Nakiri model, all versatile knives up to 210 mm and also longer petty knives. With Chinese hatchets it does not cover the entire surface, but it covers the entire cutting edge, which is the most important for safety and protection.

If you are not satisfied with the product, you can return it without any problems, and we will refund the cost of all three guards.

If I can be of any further assistance, please let me know.

Kind regards,
Miha

Custodia universale molto utile

Hey!

We’re glad to hear that the plastic saya is protecting both your knife and your fingers! At the moment, we unfortunately do not offer a wooden saya for the Kotetsu Nakiri, but we’re always working on expanding our selection and adding new items to our shop. We’ll do our best to offer a suitable wooden saya for nakiri knives as soon as possible.

If you have any questions in the future about care, sharpening or anything else related, we are at your disposal.

Warm regards,
Iva
