Mizuno Seisakusho has been forging tools in Sanjo, Japan, since 1937. Originally known for their plane blades, they gradually shifted focus to axes and hatchets as woodworking traditions evolved. Today, under the hand of certified traditional craftsman Isao Mizuno, the workshop produces a wide range of high-quality cutting tools — blending generations of blacksmithing skill with practical refinements for modern outdoor and bushcraft use. Each hatchet is forged, ground, and finished with care, reflecting the precision and spirit of Echigo Sanjo craftsmanship.
