Steak Cutting Board Large [Walnut Wood]

These face grain cutting boards are handcrafted for us by the local Slovenian woodworker J. Gros. They are made from walnut wood (Juglans regia), known for its strength and durability.

These steak cutting boards are entirely handmade and each has a unique pattern. They are available in three sizes – small, large, and extra large.

With a working surface of 40x24cm (15.7" x 9.4") this large cutting board is just the right size for comfortable chopping – either at home or in a professional kitchen. Its size also makes it a great presentation or serving board.

The board is additionally impregnated with natural mineral oil that can be safely used in contact with food. We recommend regular maintenance with this oil, which you can purchase here. This way, the steak cutting board will last you for many years.

Face grain cutting boards show the most grain and are often the most striking of all cutting boards. As a result, they are preferred when choosing a cutting board that doubles as a serving or presentation board. Face grain boards show knife marks faster than edge grain or end grain boards and are thus not recommended for heavy chopping use.
