Steak Cutting Board Extra Large [American Walnut]

These face grain cutting boards are handcrafted for us by the local Slovenian woodworker J. Gros. They are made from American walnut (Juglans nigra), known for its strength and durability.

These steak cutting boards are entirely handmade and each has a unique pattern. They are available in three sizes – small, large, and extra large.

With a working surface of 45x29cm (17.7" x 11.4"), this extra large cutting board offers plenty of space for comfortable and lengthy chopping – either at home or in a professional kitchen. Its size also makes it a great presentation or serving board.

The board is additionally impregnated with natural mineral oil that can be safely used in contact with food. We recommend regular maintenance with this oil, which you can purchase here.

Face grain boards show the most grain and are often the most striking of all cutting boards. As a result, they are preferred when choosing a cutting board that doubles as a serving/presentation board. Face grain boards show knife marks faster than edge grain or end grain boards and are thus not recommended for heavy chopping use.
