Steak Cutting Board Small [Walnut Wood]

These face grain cutting boards are handcrafted for us by the local Slovenian woodworker J. Gros. They are made from walnut wood (Juglans regia), known for its strength and durability.

These cutting boards are entirely handmade and each has a unique pattern. They are available in three sizes – small, large, and extra large.

With a working surface of 35x19cm (13.8" x 7.5"), this small cutting board is just the right size to fit onto any countertop and is especially useful when we have a limited working surface. Due to its striking surface, it can double as a serving or presentation board.

It is additionally impregnated with natural mineral oil that can be safely used in contact with food. We recommend regular maintenance with this oil, which you can purchase here. That way, the board can last you for many years.

Face grain boards show the most grain and are often the most striking of all cutting boards. As a result, they are preferred when choosing a cutting board that doubles as a serving or presentation board. Face grain boards show knife marks faster than edge grain or end grain boards and are thus not recommended for heavy chopping use.
