Okay, so you bought yourself some quality knives, and now you want to take them anywhere you go - obviously, who wouldn't! 😊 We designed our knife roll to be sturdy, practical, affordable and safe to carry your precious knives around. And with the famous Japanese painting (The Great Wave off Kanagawa) printed on the back side of the knife roll, you'll always carry your knives in style! Our knife roll can store up to 5 knives and/or kitchen accessories.

We know that kitchens can get messy, so we chose to have our knife roll made in black colored cotton canvas, so it won't get stains on it (or at least they won't be so visible 😜). The famous painting from Japanese artist Hokusai was not printed on the back merely for the looks, but it also has a function. We find that many canvas rolls get dirty on the bottom part because chefs sometimes put the roll on a dirty countertop. The rubberized print is easy to clean, you simply wipe the stains off with a wet sponge.

Our Chef's Knife Roll is suitable for chefs on-the-go who don't need a large roll, as well as for home cooks. We find that many home cooks who own high-quality knives are in search of a practical and sturdy knife roll so they can take their knives when they go camping, bring them when renting an Airbnb when traveling (who's been to an Airbnb apartment with good knives?), or when they go BBQ-ing with their friends.

Let's finalize with a quick overview of the iconic Japanese painting. The Great Wave off Kanagawa depicts a large, rogue wave off the coast of the Edo-period city of Kanagawa. The wave with its 'sharp edges' represents the mystical dragon claws that threaten three wooden fishermen boats (used for transporting live fish), while in the background the mighty and stoic Mount Fuji rests peacefully in the background, the symbol of beauty and Japanese national identity. A beautiful contrast of an imminent threat in a timeless background.
